	Abstract:	Das Buch bietet eine neue Interpretation der Theorie des Guten aus Aristoteles´ Nikomachischer Ethik. In einer genauen Lektüre vor allem der ersten Kapitel zeigt der Autor, dass Aristoteles einer teleologischen Konzeption des Guten (Güter sind Ziele) viel differenzierter gegenübersteht, als üblicherweise angenommen wird. Diese Beobachtung führt zu einer Antwort auf einige hartnäckige Deutungsprobleme. Außerdem eröffnet sie eine völlig andere Sicht auf das Projekt, das Aristoteles in seiner Ethik verfolgt. This book offers a new interpretation of the theory of the good in Aristotle's Nicomachean Ethics. In a careful reading focusing particularly on the first chapters, the author argues that Aristotle has a more complex relationship to a teleological conception of the good than is often assumed. Understanding the subtleties of Aristotle's attitude on this point can help solve some difficult interpretative issues. Moreover, it can open up a new perspective on the project Aristotle is pursuing in his ethics
